Tamasou Isaias: Saint Paisios considered discernment the greatest of the virtuestranslated

The solemn Divine Liturgy in memory of Saint Paisios of Agioreitos was celebrated with spiritual splendor in the Holy Church of Saint Paisios Agioreitos, in the community of Agioi Vavatsinias. The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Holiness Metropolitan Isaia of Tamasos and Orinis, who preached the divine word to the congregation.

In his sermon, Panierotatos referred to the holy figure of Saint Paisios, underlining that holiness is not the privilege of a few people, but is the calling of every baptized Christian. He emphasized that the modern Saint of the Church taught us with his life humility, unceasing prayer, trust in divine providence and selfless love for every human being.

He made special reference to discernment, which St. Paisios considered the greatest of the virtues, as well as the need for believers to face the difficulties of the time not with fear and despair, but with faith, repentance and hope in Christ.

At the same time, he invited everyone to cultivate a spiritual life through the Mysteries of the Church, prayer and love for fellow human beings, following the bright example of the Saint.
