Chrysostomos of Eleftheroupolis: The only treasure of Agia Paraskevi was Christtranslated

With modest church Masses and universally, this year the Holy Memory of Saint Osioparthenomartyr Paraskevi of Athliphoros was celebrated again in the pilgrimage church of the same name, on a green edge of Eleftheroupoli. On the evening of the feast, Sunday July 25, 2026, the solemn High Priestly Vespers was held, presided over by our Reverend Pastor Mr. Chrysostomos, flanked by the Priests and Deacons of the city, the superior of the Protosingel of the Metropolis, Panosiology Archimandrite Chrysostomos Benou.

The Divine Word was preached to the densely packed congregation by His Holiness, who referred to the virtuous life of Saint Paraskevi, presenting her as a model of total dedication to Christ. He particularly emphasized that, although she came from a wealthy family, she voluntarily gave up all earthly wealth, distributing her property to the poor, so that her only treasure would be Christ. He further pointed out that her purity of heart, unwavering faith, virginity and total devotion to God made her a shining example for every Christian.
