The enthronement of the new Metropolitan Antonio of Bessarabia: "The desire to renew the spiritual life will not remain without God's help"translated

A day of joy for the clergy and the faithful of the Republic of Moldova as today, Sunday July 12, 2026, the enthronement of the new Metropolitan of Bessarabia, Mr. Antonio. In the Holy Church "Three Holy Hierarchs" in Chisinau, after the Divine Liturgy held by a meeting of 9 hierarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church, pre-eminent of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina Mr. Theophanis, representative of His Beatitude Patriarch of Romania Mr. Daniel.

After the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina Mr. Theofanis performed the enthronement of the new Metropolitan of Bessarabia. The Archbishop of Lower Danube, Mr. Kassianos, read the Patriarchal wish and His Eminence Mr. Theofanis offered the new Metropolitan the insignia of his new ministry: the episcopal mantle, the episcopal cross, the engolpium and the archpastoral rod.

The new Metropolitan of Bessarabia Mr. Antonios blessed the clergy and the people with the cross offered by the Patriarch of Romania.
