Patriarch of Jerusalem: Christians have been present in the Holy Land for 2,000 yearstranslated

His Eminence the Patriarch of Jerusalem met today with the former President of the Serb Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina Milorad Dodik. Theophilos at the headquarters of the Patriarchate. During the meeting, His Beatitude first spoke with warm words to the Serbian faithful who are visiting the Holy Land, while he then referred to the Christian presence in the Holy Land, which is more than 2,000 years old. He also noted that the war has disrupted the pilgrimages and the families that depend on them financially.

His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theophilos III met in the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem with His Eminence Mr. Milorad Dodik, former President of the Republic of Srpska (the Serbian Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina). President Dodik was accompanied by Ambassador Mr. Dusko Kovacevic with a delegation.

His Beatitude welcomed the visit as a renewal of the historical relationship between the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem and the Serbian Orthodox Church. It was mentioned with warm words to the Serbian believers, who continue to visit the Holy Lands.
