The Highest Honor of the Metropolitanate of Piraeus to General Secretary Dimitrios Choupitranslated

General Secretary Dimitrios Choupi will be honored with the Medal of Saint Spyridon with Star (highest honor of the local Church), by Most Reverend Metropolitan of Piraeus Seraphim, on Monday, September 28, 2026, within the framework of a great Philanthropic Concert that will take place at the Vakeio Theater with Caterina Liolios. The concert will be held at 8:00 PM in cooperation with the Attica Region and with the support of the Municipality of Piraeus.

The purpose of this concert, which is an institution for our local Church, is to strengthen the multifaceted Philanthropic, Social, Hierarchical and Educational work of the Metropolitanate.

Alongside Caterina Liolios, Giannis Fakinis will perform as well as the Choir of Teachers of the Holy Metropolitanate of Piraeus, while the event will be accompanied by traditional folk dance ensembles and clergy who will sing well-known traditional songs.
