Solemn Divine Liturgy at the birthplace of Agios Nicodemus of Agioreitostranslated

With the appropriate ecclesiastical splendor, the memory of Agios Nikodemos of Agioreitos was celebrated in his birthplace, the island of Naxos, with the homonymous Holy Parish Church of the city as its focus. On the morning of Tuesday 14-7-2026, the Solemn Liturgy was held, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thebes, Levadeia and Avlis, Mr. Georgios, followed by the High Priestly Divine Liturgy, presided over by Rev. Mr. Georgios and co-celebrants of the Reverend Metropolitan of Nicopolis and Preveza Mr. Chrysostomos (who also preached the divine word), the Theophilist Bishop of Keramos Mr. Bartholomeus and our Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan of Paronaxia Mr. Kallinikos.

The Holy Liturgy was attended by Clergy of the Metropolis, the Senior Minister of Sports Mr. Yannis Vroutsis, the Cycladic MPs Ms. Katerina Monogyiou, Mr. Filippos Fortomas and Mr. Markos Kafouros, the Mayor of Naxos and Small Cyclades Mr. Dimitris Lianos, the Prefect of Naxos Mr. Yannis Margaritis, the head of the minority Mr. Leonardos Hatziandreou, representatives of the Local Self-Government A' and B' degree as well as a large number of people from Greece and abroad.
