"PARISH in action...": Theatrical reading and discussion on issues of the soul and psychologytranslated

The need for human presence remains strong, even if it is not always expressed in words. Man needs others, even when he declares that he wishes to be alone. An event that combined the theatrical reading of short stories by great Greek writers with a discussion on the topics of the soul and psychology that touch them, took place on Thursday, October 8, at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Church of Evangelistria, Piraeus, as part of the "PARISH in action..." program.
Actress and Psychologist Theodora Georgakopoulou read and Stefanos Dormparakis provided musical accompaniment. Coordinated by Ilias Liamis, Dr. Theology – Musicologist – Author.
The discussion developed around literature, psychology, loneliness, emotional isolation and the human need for meaningful communication. The starting point of the discussion was two literary short stories, through which the interlocutors examined the way in which people deal with pain, try to protect themselves from disappointments and search, consciously or unconsciously, for connection with others.
