International Conference "Developmental Dysregulation and Cancer" at the Orthodox Academy of Cretetranslated

The international scientific conference "Developmental Dysregulation and Cancer" was held at the Orthodox Academy of Crete from October 21 to 24, 2026. The meeting brought together scientists from the fields of developmental biology and cancer biology, with the aim of sharing knowledge and highlighting new research approaches for understanding tumor growth mechanisms. The organizer was Professor Christos Delidakis, from the University of Crete and the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) of the ITE, while on behalf of OAK, the Foundation's Scientific Associate, Dr. Antonis Kalogerakis, was responsible.
The Conference focused on investigating the relationship between the normal developmental processes of cells and the occurrence and progression of cancer. The mechanisms that regulate cell differentiation, tissue renewal and regeneration are key areas of study for understanding how cells can deviate from their normal developmental pathways and contribute to tumorigenesis. At the same time, special importance is attached to the role of...
