Young people from Egypt and Jordan in the Camps of the Patriarchate of Alexandriatranslated

With the blessing and presence of His Beatitude the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Mr. Theodore II took place yesterday, Saturday 3 October 2026, the start of the 5th Arab-Speaking Youth Camps of Egypt, which are organized for the fifth consecutive year in the Nitria Valley, now constituting a living institution of meeting, spiritual building, catechism, communication and fraternal fellowship of the young people of the Alexandrian Church. About a hundred young men and women from the Arabic-speaking parishes of Egypt are participating in this year's camps. The presence of a group of young men and women from Jordan adds special joy and special color this year, turning this year's event into a wider meeting of Orthodox youth from two sister countries of the Middle East.

At the start of the camps, His Beatitude Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Mr. Theodore II performed the Sanctification sequence, blessing the children one by one and wishing that these days would be a source of joy, spiritual renewal, true friendship and meaningful acquaintance with the Church for everyone.
