Kykkou Nikiforos: The people ask the Virgin Mary to once again become the Great General of the Genustranslated

With spiritual rejoicing and in an atmosphere of euphoria, the greatest and most solemn feast of the Mother of God of the summer was celebrated, the vivid Dormition of our most holy Miss Theotokos and Immaculate Mary, the Lady of Angels and Mother of God and people, in the historic, sacred and revered Eleousa of Kykkos Monastery. On the occasion of this feast of Theotokos, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kykkos and Tellyria, Mr. Nikiforos, officiated in the evening at the Great Solemn Vespers and presided, on the feast day, at the Eucharistic assembly, flanked by the Cykkotic Metropolitans of Cyrene Athanasios (Patriarchy of Alexandria), Chrysostomos and Tamasos of Kyrenia and Issaia of Orini.

The Catholic Church of the Holy Basilica and Cross Monastery of the Merciful Panagia of Kykkos and its courtyards were flooded by hundreds of believers, who came to worship her graceful Icon, but also to participate in the glorious celebration, to pray together and seek the grace and blessing of the Lady Theotokos.
