The celebration of the Holy Monastery of the Prophets of Distrato was celebrated with splendortranslated

The festival of the Holy Monastery of the Prophets of Disstratos, in the province of Konitsa, was held with great enthusiasm again this year, on the occasion of the feast of the fiery ascension of the Holy Glorious Prophet Helios of Thesvitos. The Holy Monastery, dedicated to all the Holy Prophets and Prophetesses of the Old Testament and subordinate to the Holy Metropolis of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsi, is an important spiritual beacon for the faithful of the region.

The liturgical events began on the afternoon of Sunday, July 19, 2026, with the solemn Vespers with Artoklasia. Afterwards, the established Consecration took place, in the presence of many pilgrims who came with reverence to honor the great Prophet of the Old Testament.

On the day of the feast, on Monday July 20, 2026, Orthros and the solemn Divine Liturgy were celebrated, with the participation of many believers. After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the procession of the Holy Icon of the Prophet Helios around the Catholic Church of the Monastery followed, in an atmosphere of emotion.
