In the Guinness Book of Records the stamp with the National Cathedral in Bucharesttranslated

The philatelic edition "The Consecration of the National Cathedral" released by Romfilatelia and the Romanian Post Office was certified by Guinness World Records as the longest stamp in the world. The stamp, measuring 252 × 36 mm, was issued in October 2025 and costs 5 lei. It depicts the mosaic image of St. Andrew the Apostle from the iconostasis of the Cathedral and the panoramic seal on the sheet and in its entire dimension presents the overall image of the building, framed by the images of the Savior Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary with the Child.

The philatelic edition is dedicated to the National Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation in Bucharest, the most representative place of worship of Romanian Orthodoxy.

The issue includes a stamp, a lace envelope, two 'first day' envelopes and a maximum value postcard.

It is interesting that such a long graphic image fit on one sheet. 252 x 36 mm is almost like a bookmark for a book. And the mosaic of St. Andrew from the iconostasis turned out beautifully, it is immediately recognizable.

That stamp is huge—252 by 36 mm really is bookmark size. The full panorama of the cathedral with the mosaic of St. Andrew from the iconostasis sounds beautiful; I’d love to see one in person. Nice that Romania got the Guinness record for it.
