First visit of the Archbishop of Canada to the Monastery of Agios Kosmos Aitolos in Boltontranslated

The Archbishop of Canada, Mr. Apostolos, made his first visit to the Holy Monastery of Agios Kosmas of Aitolos in Bolton, Ontario, where he was warmly welcomed by Gerontissa Alexia, the brotherhood, and a multitude of believers. The establishment of the brotherhood took place under the spiritual guidance of the well-known Elder Ephraim of Arizona and with the blessing of the then Metropolitan (later Archbishop) of Canada, Mr. Sotiriou.
After the official reception and the Divine Liturgy, Gerontissa Alexia expressed the joy and gratitude of the fraternity for the Archbishop's visit.
For his part, the Archbishop of Canada stated that "the Church cannot exist without monasticism. There cannot be a Deaconry, Metropolis or Archbishopric, without monasticism."
He further stated: "I will stand by the Monasteries as a partner and supporter," while he expressed his belief that "together we will become a very strong spiritual Orthodox family."
A particularly touching moment was the exchange of gifts.
