His Eminence the Bishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 19th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

On October 11, the 19th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the Venerable Chariton the Confessor, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the early Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The cathedral clergy concelebrated with the Most Reverend Bishop. During the Divine Liturgy, an excerpt from the Gospel of Luke (Luke 5:1–11) was read, telling about the miraculous fishing and the calling of the Lord’s first disciples. After an unsuccessful night's work, the Apostle Peter, at the word of the Savior, again cast the nets, which were filled with so many fish that they began to break through. Amazed by what had happened, he heard Christ’s call to leave his previous occupation and become a fisher of men. At the end of the service, a sermon was delivered on the spiritual meaning of the Gospel reading. At the center of the narrative being read is trust in God, Who calls man to follow Him, and the humility of the Apostle Peter, who realized his own unworthiness in the face of Divine power.
