Amorgos honored Protopresbyter Fr. Thomas Synodinos for his 40 years of priestly servicetranslated

In an atmosphere of deep emotion, yesterday, Sunday July 19, 2026, in Amorgos, the honorary event-station for the 40 years of priestly ministry of Protopresbyter Fr. Thomas Synodinos took place. Representatives of the Church, the State, relatives, clergy and laity gathered in Loza Square, to pay due respect to a clergyman who served with ethics, humility and tireless hard work, never forgetting the place from which he started.

The event was honored with their presence by the Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Mr. Theodoros, the Metropolitan of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia, Mr. Gabriel, representative of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, the Metropolitans of Syros, Mr. Dorotheos and Mr. George of Guinea, ministers, parliamentarians, representatives of local associations and bodies, dozens of clergy and laity.
