PSE solidarity and support visit to Ukrainetranslated

Report office ope.gr An expression of solidarity with the Ukrainian people is the visit of a delegation of the World Council of Churches led by the General Secretary, Dr. Pilai, who since yesterday, Wednesday July 15, 2026, has been making a series of contacts in Kyiv assessing the situation in the country which continues to be tested by the consequences of the war. The PSE delegation in Ukraine also includes Rev. Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalcedon Mr. Gabriel.

The consequences of war The members of the delegation held a meeting with the Pan-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, the President of which is the Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine, Mr. Superficial.

During the meeting, the focus was on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has been ongoing for more than four years, causing numerous casualties, including civilians and children, while churches and religious buildings have also been affected. Let's see, this WCC visit to Kiev with Metropolitan Gabriel of Greece is interesting, but the article talks again about the "Russian invasion" and the damage to the Lavra of the Caves without mentioning anything about what happened to the churches in Donbas all these years. Why is he only looking in one direction?
