The vision and mission of the Patriarchate of Alexandria at the heart of the Endemous Holy Synodtranslated

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Alexandria, the A.Th.M. the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Mr. Theodore II convened, in accordance with the Charter of the Palaeate of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, an Endemic Holy Synod attended by Hierarchs of the Throne from various Holy Metropolises and Bishoprics under the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate, who are in Alexandria in order to participate in the celebrations for the 22nd anniversary of His Beatitude's election to the Apostolic and Patriarchal Throne of Saint Mark. At the beginning of the work, His Beatitude addressed a heartfelt paternal greeting to the High Priests present, expressing his deep joy and emotion for their presence in the historic Cathedral of the Alexandrian Church.

At the same time, he offered praise and thanksgiving to the All-Good God for the twenty-two years of his Patriarchal ministry, during which, with the grace of God and the cooperation of the local Hierarchs of the Throne, the diverse spiritual, missionary, charitable and educational work of the Patriarchate continues and develops throughout the African continent.
