Philippiada celebrated its patron Saint Bessariontranslated

On the morning of September 15, in the celebratory Holy Church of Agios Bessarios Philippiados, the Orthros was celebrated during which the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Pavlos officiated and then the Divine Liturgy at which he presided, co-celebrating with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Preveza Mr. Chrysostomos. Rev. Corinth Mr. Pavlos during his speech, after underlining the virtues of the honored saint, emphasized in particular that just as the coming of the plague in the past united people in the face of the fear of infectious disease in common prayer to God, so today we must remain united in prayer, in love for God and fellow man and in common goals for the good of our place and our country.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, there was a procession of the icon of Agios Bessarios through the streets of the city by representatives of the Fire Department.
