The Greece-Bulgaria agreement on the holy relics through the show "Current Affairs" (podcast)translated

The premiere of the show "Current Affairs" on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 with Maria Yachnaki on the online radio Pemptousia FM was dedicated to the issue of the recent agreement between Greece and Bulgaria regarding the issue of holy relics. For this purpose, "Epikairotita" invited the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Xathni and Peritheori, Mr. Panteleimon, who referred to the issue of holy relics that is in the news these days.

His Eminence spoke on the occasion of the current issue of the signing of a memorandum between Greece and Bulgaria with the return of 48 sacred relics, which however do not include relics from the Metropolitan Region of Xanthi which were stolen by the Bulgarian occupying troops during the First World War.

The show also presented an extensive report on the issue in question, while Maria Yachnaki referred to the exclusive interview granted by the Patriarch of Bulgaria Mr. Daniel in the show "Signs and People", which will be shown next week on Pemptousia.TV.
