"Fear not": When Christ enters the ship of our lifetranslated

After the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the holy Church decided to begin the reading of the Gospel of Luke in the gospel passage every Sunday.

Sunday 1st Luke, and the narrative tells us of the miraculous fishing and the calling of the first disciples at the lake of Gennesaret. As the Evangelist Luke tells us, Christ stands "by the lake of Gennesaret" and faces the fishermen, who did not catch any fish all night.

Then, Christ boards Simon's ship and says to him: "Return to the deep and loose your nets in the fields." And then, Simon trusts in Christ, and not his experience all the years in the sea, in the weather, in the water, and throws the fish "but at your word I break the net".

And, at that moment, the miracle happens. The empty net fills with fish. But something else happens at the same time; the person is filled with a new experience of life. Where there is failure, Christ transforms it into something else. To something different.
