Master class on bell ringing for the visually impairedtranslated

On September 26, graduates of the bell ringing school of the Simbirsk diocese at the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral gave a lecture and ringing master class for participants in the Ulyanovsk branch of the All-Russian Society of the Blind.

Guests of the cathedral learned that each bell has a “head”, “shoulders”, “ears”, “tongue”, “torso” (torso), got acquainted with many bright pages of the “bell history” of our country, and listened to the traditional Rostov, Moscow, and Pskov-Pechersk trezvons.

Interesting topics for discussion were the differences between modern and lost bell foundries, bell “profiles”, variants of church bells and compositions of bell bronze.
