A message of hope is addressed by the Metropolitan of Dimitrias and Almyros, Mr. Ignatios, referring to the face of the Virgin Mary in view of the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin. In his short video message, His Holiness emphasizes that the Dormition of the Virgin is not death but an event of hope and joy, noting that "it is sleep and not death" and that the Virgin Mary "wants us to live joy and not sadness".

At the same time, it refers to the comforting presence of the Virgin Mary, who, having known pain, "comforts everyone who is in pain". He also recalls the miracle in Cana and the exhortation of the Virgin Mary to the servants: "Do whatever he tells you", pointing out that this is the message he still addresses to the faithful today, turning their gaze to Christ.

Metropolitan Mr. Ignatios emphasizes that the Virgin Mary, as "one of us, from the human race", is close to man and knows how to pray for everyone. At the same time, he calls on the faithful to turn their hands into "hands of supplication and prayer" and not "fists for violence", nor to let them fall "down in despair".
