Agios Dionysios the Areopagite was celebrated by Judges and Lawyers in Agios Nikolaos, Nafpliontranslated

In the renovated Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos of Nafplion, the feast of Agios Dionysios the Areopagite, patron of lawyers, lawyers and the Judiciary, was celebrated with splendor on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The Holy Liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argolis, Mr. Nektarios, who also preached the divine word. The icon of Agios Dionysios the Areopagite, made with the assistance of the Judges-Prosecutors, Court Clerks and Lawyers of Nafplion, was put up for veneration. The icon was painted by the iconographer Dimitris Argyropoulos.

At the end of the liturgy, the vicar of the recently renovated Church of Agios Nikolaos, Fr. Nikolaos Michos, thanked the Metropolitan for the celebration of the divine liturgy and wished the best to the judicial officials.

During the divine service, the Hyeropsaltes, Panagiotis Karahalios, Georgios Maninis and Nektarios Psychopaidas sang.

The celebration of Saint Dionysios the Areopagite was attended by Judicial Officers, employees of the Judiciary, Lawyers members of the Bar Association from Nafplion and Argos, retired Judges and employees and others.

It is a good tradition when lawyers gather in the church of their saint. The icon came out beautiful, thanks to the artist Dmitry Argyropoulos. I wonder how often she will be brought out for worship now.

The renovation of Agios Nikolaos is good, it can be seen from the photos that work was done. The icon of Saint Dionysius created by Dimitris Argyropoulos is beautiful, I am glad that they put it up for worship with the help of judges and lawyers. Father Nikolaos Michos also said good words at the end, I also wish that everything goes well for the officials of justice.

It's nice that the renovated church of St. Nicholas in Nauplio already looks so decent. The icon of Saint Dionysus by the painter Dimitris Argyropoulos is really well done, especially when it was made with the contribution of judges and lawyers. I wonder if they will wear it to the procession and to court.

The icon looks well done. Nice that the judges, prosecutors and lawyers from Nafplio and Argos chipped in to have it painted by Dimitris Argyropoulos and brought it out for veneration right there in the renovated Saint Nicholas church. Father Nikolaos Michos sounds like a good priest too.

You noticed it well, the church really looks dignified after the renovation. The icon by Argyropoulos is nice, especially since it was financed directly by the judges and lawyers of Nauplio. I don't think they will wear it to the procession, but I would rather see it in a courtroom. 😊

I agree, the icon is really nice and it's good that it was funded directly by those whom Saint Dionysius protects. The church of St. Nicholas after the repair looks clean and dignified, one would like to go there even outside the holiday. I was wondering if you were there in person or you are watching it from photos.

Nicely noticed, that Argyropoulos icon really looks solid. Here in Prešov, the lawyers would probably put it in the chapel near the court, not in the procession. It would be interesting to know if any of them already wear it in the office.

You noticed it well, the church looks really clean and dignified after the renovation. The icon by Argyropoulos is successful, especially since it was paid directly by the judges and lawyers from Nauplia. I probably wouldn't see it in the procession, but maybe it would be useful in some meeting, like the icon of St. Nicholas hanging in the office of the district court here in Bratislava.
