"Tou Pontou Panagia" Musical performance in "PARISH in action..."translated

The musical production "Tou Pontou Panagia", dedicated to the deep and timeless relationship of Pontic Hellenism with the Virgin Mary, the mother and the ancestral land, was presented as part of the "PARISH in action..." program of the Holy Church of Evangelistria, Piraeus, on Thursday, October 22.

Starting with songs and music from the musical tradition of Pontus and the newest discography, the figure of the Virgin Mary becomes a "place" and a living musical path in memory and tradition, through which the Virgin Mary becomes a symbol of protection and hope, the mother a symbol of love and sacrifice and the Pontus a symbol of memory.

Performers: Yiannis Michaelidis singing, George Papadopoulos Pontic lyre, Haris Papadopoulos wind instruments, George Tirekidis keyboards and Filippos Pourpoutidis percussions.
