I am glad that Bishop Sofronios was able to celebrate the Liturgy in the Komninon Monastery on his name day. It's good that so many believers came with wishes until the evening.

It sounds like a lovely, peaceful day at the monastery. Nice that Bishop Sophronios could serve the Liturgy right on his name day, and that so many people stayed until evening to greet him.

It is good that Bishop Sophrony himself served the Liturgy on his day of the Angel in the Komninon monastery. It’s obvious that the people love him—they kept coming with congratulations until the evening. Thank God for such a quiet and bright holiday.

I am glad that Bishop Sophronios officiated himself exactly in his denominations at the Holy Monastery of Komnenos. It seems that he is very much loved by the faithful, who stayed until late afternoon to wish him well. It must have been a beautiful day in Xanthi.

I'm happy for you, Karolina. Here in Gdańsk, we also remember that the bishop's name day is always a family day in the parish. I wonder if the Komninon monastery had the same bread with prosphora as usual, because we always bake it for such occasions.

I'm happy for you, Karolina. In our choir we always remember Saint. Sophronius, because his writings on prayer are very helpful in singing. I wonder if there were a lot of people from Xanthi in the Komninon monastery, or if they came from further parishes.

Here in Hajnówka we also often quote St. Sophronius during choir rehearsals, especially the one about the silence of the heart before singing. There were a lot of people from Xanthi in the Komninon monastery, but I also saw a group from Katerini who arrived by bus. And in your choir, which fragment of his writings comes back most often?

I'm glad that you, in Gdańsk, also experience this as a family. Here in Lublin, for the bishop's name day, I always make cheesecake, which the children help bake. As for the bread with prosphora in Komninon - I don't know, I haven't been there, but I wonder if anyone there baked anything special for this occasion.

In Warsaw, for such occasions, I always make a simple yeast cake with poppy seeds, because the cheesecake is too heavy for me. As for Komninon, someone actually brought home-made cookies with honey, but the bread with prosphora was the most important. How do you manage this cheesecake with kids without them destroying the kitchen?
