"With Greece Karavokyri": Charity concert of the Holy Metropolis of Kalamariatranslated

The Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria is organizing on Monday July 6, 2026 at 21:00 at Plaz Aretsous in Kalamaria, a large charity concert entitled "With Greece Karavokyri". Dimitris Bassis, one of the most important and beloved voices of Greek song, with his characteristic interpretive power and his many years of artistic career, together with the excellent performers Aspasia Stratigou and Evi Koutsautaki, will give the audience unique moments of emotion and musical mystique.

In a special musical evening of high artistic quality, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique tribute to Greek poetry set to music, through emblematic works that marked the modern Greek musical creation.

The Youth Choir and Orchestra of the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, under the artistic direction of Fr. Theodoros Tsampatzidis, will present together with the performers a rich musical program inspired by the sea, Greece, poetry and the historical memory of our country.

The event will be presented by journalist Theodora Karagiulah.

Looking forward to hearing Dimitris Basis sing those sea-inspired songs with the youth choir on July 6th at Aretsou beach. The combination of his voice and the poems about Greece and our history should be something special. Hope the weather holds for all the families coming.
