The Hellenic Red Cross continues to provide health care to the families affected by the earthquake in Venezuelatranslated

The Hellenic Red Cross continues its aid in the earthquake-stricken region of La Guaira, Venezuela, with the 2nd echelon, consisting of seven experienced nurses of the Health Sector, working daily alongside the affected. The solidarity level of the E.E.S. to the earthquake victims of Venezuela staffs the Mobile Hospital that operates at the Jose Garcia Carneiro baseball field. The nurses of the E.E.S. they contribute substantially to the management and treatment of incidents, providing pre-hospital care and first aid in the clinics and in the short-term hospitalization department that operates in the Mobile Hospital.
So far, they have provided basic health services and pre-hospital care to 356 cases, including 206 men, 125 women, 16 boys and 9 girls. At the same time, during the arrival and waiting of the patients at the clinics, interpersonal communication and psychological empowerment interventions were carried out for 80 patients, with the aim of supporting those affected who live in precarious conditions, with the valuable contribution of a Spanish-speaking Nurse of the E.E.S.
