Clergy and people everywhere Litanized the Icon of Ekatontapylianitranslated

The second Vespers of the Mother of God feast of the Dormition of the Virgin, was held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Solemn Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Ekatontapylianis of Paros. The Mass was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thira, Amorgos and the Islands, Mr. Amfilochios, with the prayers of the Most Reverend Metropolitan Gerontos of Leontopolis, Mr. Gabriel, the Theophilist Bishops of Keramos, Mr. Bartholomeus and Mr. Ioannou, and the Most Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan Paronaxias Mr. Kallinikos.

After the end of Vespers, the procession of the icon of our Virgin Mary towards the central port of Paros was carried out, where a Deesis was chanted, at the end of which, the Reverend Mr. Amfilochios addressed a speech of edification and supplication.

Afterwards, the Litaneviti procession was directed along the coastal road and through the picturesque narrow streets of the city, where in front of the two Parish Churches of Zoodochos Pigi and Taxiarchon they chanted Deiseis.
