Patriarch of Georgia Sio III: We are spiritual heirs of the Holy Apostles and Patriarch Ilias IItranslated

To show themselves worthy of the mission and the work of the Holy Apostles as well as of Saint Nina, who transmitted the Christian teaching and enlightened Georgia 1700 years ago, the Patriarch invited the clergy and the people of the country. The Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church presided over the solemn Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Svetichoveli – where, according to tradition, the Patriarchs of the Church of Georgia are enthroned. This temple is also dedicated to the Synagogue of the Holy 12 Apostles.
