High priestly mass in Edessa for the feast of Saints Anargyritranslated

The Holy Cathedral of Agia Skepi of Edessa celebrated the memory of Saints Anargyros Cosmas and Damianos with particular splendor. The celebration is connected to its southern aisle, which is dedicated to the Saints in memory of the previous feronym of their holy church that was set on fire by the German occupying forces. On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., there was a Reception of the holy relic of the holy and glorious great martyr Panteleimon of Iamatikos, coming from the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Panteleimon of Florini. Preached by Rev. Metropolitan of Petra, who referred to the three pairs of Anargyri saints named Cosmas and Damianos. The saints celebrated on July 1 were martyred in Rome. They performed countless cures, healing for nothing, that is, without any remuneration, mostly poor people. With their holy lives, he emphasized, they are an example for all believers.
