A unique journey of faith and spiritual empowerment begins today for the Orthodox of Ivory Coasttranslated

By the Grace of God, the blessing of His Beatitude the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa etc. Theodore II and the permission of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Accra and Côte d'Ivoire Mr. Daniel, the annual ten-day pilgrimage of Clergy and Lay Orthodox of Côte d'Ivoire to the blessed land of Greece is taking place for the second consecutive year. The realization of this pilgrimage is a special blessing for the local Orthodox Church of the Ivory Coast and is under the kind approval of His Excellency the President of the Republic of the Ivory Coast Mr. Alassane Ouattara and his Government, which highlights the spirit of mutual respect and loving cooperation between the Republic of the Ivory Coast and the Orthodox Church.

This year's pilgrimage is attended by ten Priests, five Deacons of the Holy Metropolis of Accra, their Elders and other faithful, a total of thirty-six people. For most of them, this is their first trip to Greece, the historical cradle of Orthodoxy, Greek culture and living church tradition.

Екатерина МакароваИнтересно, что в этом году поехали 10 священников и 5 диаконов с матушками, всего 36 человек. Первый раз для многих — это сильно. Интересно, какие именно места в Греции им покажут за эти десять дней.

Markus WagnerInteressant, dass dieses Jahr gleich 10 Priester und 5 Diakone mit ihren Ehefrauen dabei sind, insgesamt 36 Personen. Für die meisten ist es das erste Mal in Griechenland – das muss ein starkes Erlebnis sein. Ich bin gespannt, welche Klöster und Orte sie in den zehn Tagen besuchen.

Bei meinem letzten Besuch im Kloster Agia Lavra hat mich vor allem die Ruhe dort beeindruckt, hoffentlich stehen die auch auf dem Programm. Kennst du zufällig jemanden aus der Gruppe?

Ioana StanDa, Corina, și eu m-am mirat de numărul mare – 10 preoți și 5 diaconi cu preotesele lor face deja 25, plus 11 mireni. Cred că le vor arăta Meteora și Muntele Athos, că anul trecut așa au făcut. Să le ajute Dumnezeu să se întoarcă cu inima plină.

Constantin MarinDa, Ioana, exact așa se adună la 36 de persoane. Anul trecut am citit că au vizitat și Mănăstirea Sfântul Nectarie din Eghina, mi se pare un loc potrivit pentru ei. Să le ajute Dumnezeu să se întoarcă cu folos.

Constantin CiobanuDa, Ioana, 36 de suflete adunate așa, din țara aia caldă, e o bucurie mare. Anul trecut am văzut poze de la ei de la Meteora, mi s-a părut că s-au simțit ca acasă între stâncile alea. Să le dea Domnul și un pic de răcoare grecească la suflet.
