On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the Holy Church of Agios Panteleimonos Loutron Edipsos, the Great Vespers and the Holy Invocation to the Most Holy Theotokos Faneromeni, before Her miraculous Holy Icon, which these days blesses and sanctifies our Parish, was held. The Holy Mass was presided over by Protopresbyter Fr. Nikolaos Markou, Vicar of the Holy Church of Agios Ioannis the Theologian Mantoudios, while the Priests of the Holy Church of Agios Panteleimonos were also present praying inside the Holy Step.

After the end of the Holy Prayer, Father Nikolaos Markou addressed a spiritual speech to the congregation, referring to the all-holy face of the Most Holy Theotokos. Glory to God that the miracle-working icon came to our Parish. I liked what Father Nicolae Mărcu said about the Mother of God as the never-sleeping mother of all - that's exactly how I feel when I pray. I also thank Father Nicolae Argyriou for organizing everything.

Yes, I felt the same way when father Nicolae Mărcu spoke about the Mother of God as a never-sleeping mother. The icon brought a special silence to the church on Tuesday evening, as if Her presence was felt. I also thank Father Argyriou for arranging everything so carefully.

It was good to see Fr. Nikolaos Markou again, even if just for the evening. His words about the Theotokos as the unwearied mother really stayed with me, especially the part about running to her with trust. Fr. Argyriou did well bringing the icon here; the church felt different that night.

Yeah, Fr. Markou's talk on running to her with trust hit me too. I was there that night and the icon really did make the whole church feel calmer, almost like a weight lifted once the Paraklesis got going. Did you manage to light a candle in front of it before you left?
