Solemnly and according to the saintly order, the feast of the Deposition of the Holy Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos was celebrated in the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, where the unique theological relic from the earthly life of our Virgin Mary has been kept for centuries. In the context of the solemn celebrations, following the invitation of the Dean of the Monastery, Elder Ephraim, the Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon, Mr. Timotheus, presided over the holy services.

The Professor of I.M.M. Elder Ephraim of Vatopedi, the Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon Mr. Timotheus, the Political Commander of Mount Athos Mr. Alcibiades Stefanis and the former Minister of Rural Development and Food Mr. Kostas Tsiaras addressed solemn speeches to the present fathers and pilgrims.
