The actions of "Karellio" for dementia at KAPI of Chalandri have been completedtranslated

The cycle of information activities and free memory checks carried out by "Karellio", the Integrated Unit for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Diseases of the Charity Organization "APOSTOLI" of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, in the KAPI of the Municipality of Chalandrio, has been completed, with the aim of raising awareness among citizens about dementia and the importance of early recognition of its symptoms. During the visits to the Central Hospital of Halandrio, the Hospital of Kato Halandrio and the Hospital of Toufas of Halandrio, the specialized scientific staff of "Karellio" held informative lectures on Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, presenting the basic symptoms, early indications and available therapeutic and supportive approaches. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of early diagnosis, as well as providing practical advice for the day-to-day support of people living with dementia and their carers.

At the same time, free memory tests were carried out for people over 60 years of age, with the aim of detecting possible cognitive difficulties and guiding for further investigation, where deemed necessary.
