Interestingly, the second volume covers letters all the way back to 1585. A useful work for those who study the history of our dioceses. It’s a pity that the presentation was in Samos, and not here - I would have read it with pleasure.

Too bad the presentation is only in Samos, I would like to see it in person. The second volume starting from 1585 seems to have much older letters than I expected, I will look for it when it comes out. Well done to Varvounis and Tzivara for so much work.

Yes, the second volume really goes deep into history, from 1585 - this is a solid piece of archives. It’s a pity that the presentation is only in Samos, I would also be happy to listen to the authors. Do you often study the history of dioceses or is this a one-time interest?

It is interesting that the first volume begins in 1861, and the second covers all the way back to 1585 - you can immediately see how the connection with the Patriarchate has changed over the centuries. I myself am more into the church choir and fishing, and I only touch on the history of dioceses when I come across something in our Yaroslavl archives. And you, Dmitry, how often do you dig up such old patriarchal letters?

Yes, the second volume from 1585 is a really deep archival layer, so many patriarchal letters for more than three centuries. I myself mostly rummage through Yaroslavl parishes when I need something for singers in the diocesan archive, but I always pick up such publications with pleasure. And you, Dmitry, in which dioceses do you most often dig?

Interestingly, they started with the second volume from 1585 - which means they covered the earlier period first. In Yekaterinburg we also lack such detailed publications on local dioceses. And you, Stepan, where do you keep track of the Samos archives?

It's interesting that they started with the second volume - indeed, this often happens when earlier documents are more difficult to collect. In Nizhny, we also have almost no such detailed collections on the diocese, it’s a pity. What church do you visit most often in Yekaterinburg, Mikhail?

It’s interesting that early papers are more difficult to collect—we also have trouble with archives in St. Petersburg. In Nizhny, which church do you visit most often, Georgy? I’m in Yekaterinburg mainly at the Church on the Blood.
