Dimitriados Ignatios: "The word of God can transform our lives"translated

At the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi Sourpi, the Rev. Metropolitan of Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios, in the presence of a large number of believers. In his sermon, His Holiness referred to the evangelical parable of the Sower, stressing that the fruitfulness of God's word depends on the disposition of each person's heart. In fact, he called the believers to personal reflection, pointing out: "Are we the good land, in which the word of God can bear fruit? Or are we like the seed that falls on the stone and, at the first difficulty, we forget Christ? Do the worries of everyday life become thorns that choke His word and, as soon as we leave the Church, we forget what we heard?".
Afterwards, Rev. Ignatius emphasized the value of the Holy Bible, which he described as a precious treasure for man, pointing out that "we Greeks have lost the greatest treasure of our lives, the Holy Bible.
