The Patronal Vigil of Saint Marina at the Holy Parish Church of Poros, Leucastranslated

With ecclesiastical splendor and reverence, the Archieratical Vigil with the Breaking of Bread in commemoration of the glorious Great Martyr Saint Marina was chanted on the afternoon of Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Parish of Poros, Leucas, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan Theophilos of Leucas and Ithaca. The Most Reverend Metropolitan was accompanied by clergy of the Archieratical Districts of Leucas, Vasiliki–Saint Peter, and Nydri–Meganisi, the Rector of the Holy Church of Saint Christopher in Agrinio, Most Venerable Protopresbyter Father John Gkiaphis, and the serving deacon of the Holy Parish Church, Most Venerable Presbyter Father Nicholas Kontoprias.

The homily was delivered by the pious deacon of the Holy Metropolis, Father Seraphim Pergharis, who spoke of the life and martyrdom of our venerated Saint.

The sacred communion was administered by the serving deacon of the Holy Parish Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Katouni, Most Venerable Protopresbyter Father Basil Kaklamani, and Mr. Christos Giannakis Fournalos.
