Serbia Porphyrios from Melbourne: "Where Christ is, there is our homeland"translated

In an atmosphere of joy and emotion, the Serbian diaspora of Melbourne welcomed the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porphyry who began his multi-day pastoral visit to Australia from the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Brunswick where on the evening of Thursday 8 October 2026 a Doxology was held during the official reception. His Beatitude Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porfirio was welcomed by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Australia and New Zealand Mr. Silouanos.

The Doxology was attended by the Most Reverend Metropolitans of Mid-Western America Mr. Longinos, Mr. Arsenios of Naisos, Mr. Timokios, Mr. Hilarion, the Most Reverend Bishops Bihats and Petrovacs, Mr. Sergios and Valievou, Mr. Hesychios, Archimandrite Daniel, director of the Patriarchal Administrative Office, the Protodeacon Professor Dr. Dragan Radic, Hierodeacon Theodosios, Deacon Vasilios Peric, Subdeacons Dejan Nakic and Vladimir Jelic. as well as several clergymen.

Also present was the Ambassador of Serbia to Australia, Mr. Rade Stefanovic.
