"From the lights of the world to the light of Christ" Discussion with the actor Petros Xekoukis in "PARISH in action..."translated

When man knows His light, then all other lights lose their charm and are revealed as insufficient. Glory, wealth, fame and success cannot fill the human heart. Only a relationship with Christ offers true fulfillment, peace and meaning. In the "Parish Archontariki" of the Holy Church of Evangelistria Piraeus and in the context of the "PARISH in action..." program, on Friday October 2, Protopresbyter Fr Spyridon Vasilakos, cleric of the Holy Metropolis of Thebes, hosted the Actor Petros Xekoukis, in a discussion on the topic: "From the lights of the world to the light of Christ".

Mr. Xekoukis testified personal experiences from the field of art and publicity, contrasting them with the experience of faith and relationship with Christ. At the heart of the discussion was the distinction between the temporal "lights" of the world – glory, recognition, applause and success – and the true, eternal light of God, which gives meaning, fulfillment and peace to human existence.
