The feast of Agia Christina and Agios Theophilos in Edipsostranslated

On the morning of Friday, July 24, 2026, the last day of the blessed stay of the Holy Icon of Panagia Faneromeni in the Holy Church of Agios Panteleimonos Loutra Edipsos, the Orthros and the Solemn Liturgy were celebrated with great fervour, on the feast of Saint Christina the Great Martyr. The Holy Mystagogy was officiated by the Most Reverend Archimandrite Father Emilianos Christou, cleric of the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Dimitrios Chalkidos.

In the Holy Rectory, Mr. Dimitrios Georgoulas, Mr. Dimitrios Kourpadakis, Mr. Sotirios Karapiperis and the Reader, Mr. Thomas, ministered, reverently rendering the sacred hymns of our Church.

The Vicar of the Holy Church, Protopresbyter Fr. Nikolaos Argyriou, as well as Fr. Christos Ngelas, prayed and ministered at the Holy Altar.

During his short spiritual speech, Father Emilianos referred to the holy person of the Most Holy Theotokos, highlighting Her humility, obedience and total dedication to the will of God, calling on the faithful to always have Her as a model of life and an unceasing ambassador to Her Son and God.
