The Minister of National Defense mentioned the dynamism of the Greek diaspora in Australia which stands next to the Church while respecting the traditions of our homeland, who was decorated by Archbishop Makarios with the highest honor of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia. The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, attended during the first day of his visit to Sydney, Australia, the Doxology at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos, officiated by the Most Reverend Archbishop of Australia Mr. Makarios.

The Doxology was also attended by the Minister of Finance of New South Wales Courtney Houssos, as a representative of the Premier of New South Wales.

The Greek Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece to Australia, Stavros Venizelos, the Director of the General Directorate of Equipment, Rear Admiral Panagiotis Karavas PN, and the Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Georgios Skeperis.
