Academy of Archimandrite Athinagoros Paradisetranslated

Makaristos was born in 1950 in Rhodes. He became a Monk in the Holy Monastery of Panormitou, Symi in 1974. In 1976, he was ordained a Deacon by the Theophilus Bishop of Eumenia, Mr. Apostolos, in the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Agia Anastasia, Halkidiki. In 1980, he was ordained an Elder by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rhodes Mr. Spyridon in Rhodes, where he served the remaining years of his priestly ministry. He served for a number of years as a teacher in Secondary Education. He received the office of Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne in the year 2005 and left his wonderful work indelible in various Parishes of the Holy Metropolis of Rhodes, but primarily in the Holy Church of Saint Catherine of the old Hospital of Rhodes.
