The maintenance and restoration works of the Cross on the Hill of Agios Panteleimon in Florina have been completedtranslated

The 24.5 meter high Cross, which was erected in 1971 on the Hill of Agios Panteleimon in Florina, showed wear and tear over the years due to its exposure to the adverse weather conditions of the area. For this reason, with the cooperation of the Holy Metropolis of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia and the Municipality of Florina, the necessary technical interventions were carried out.

In particular, metal scaffolding was installed, a protective primer was applied to the visible steel elements and repairs were carried out in places with cracks, loose parts and gaps, using suitable repair materials. This was followed by the external coloring of the Cross with a white color highly resistant to weather conditions.

In addition, a check of the lightning protection installation was carried out, during which it was found that the lightning arrester is in operation.

The Holy Diocese of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia thanks the Municipality of Florina for its cooperation and contribution to the completion of the works.
