Nice to see the Gospel getting onto more phones. Our choir director mentioned last week how handy the app is for checking the readings on the bus. Does it have the Greek and Ukrainian side by side?

I would say that it is good for those who travel, but it is still best when one holds a real book in one's hands. My wife uses an application to read in Serbian on the bus when she goes to work, but she always carries a small Pocket New Testament for Liturgy. Does this application also have Church Slavonic?

I am very interested in whether this application has a Bulgarian translation, in addition to Greek and Ukrainian. It's easier for me with the book at home, but it's really comfortable on the bus - like Grace and Sophia. Marco, I also bring the small New Testament to the service.

It’s convenient to have your phone handy, especially on the bus on the way to work, as Grace and Ivanka write. In Yaroslavl, many people also use アプリ, but at the Liturgy I still take a small printed Gospel. Is there a Church Slavonic text there, as Marco asked?

The Ukrainian one does have Church Slavonic alongside the Ukrainian text, which is handy if you like switching between them. I still carry my small printed Gospel too — the screen just can't match the feel of the pages. Have you tried the Antiochian app? It's got a nice parallel Greek-English version that works well on older phones like yours.

Yeah, the side-by-side does get distracting during liturgy, especially when you’re trying to follow the tones. I’ve stuck with the Ecumenical Patriarchate app too and the Ukrainian-Slavonic version feels right from our old parish visits. My old iPhone 8 does load the Greek a bit quicker than the Slavonic one, have you noticed that on yours?
