The Patriarchate of Georgia goes on the counterattack, giving its own answer to the recent resolutions of the European Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe which mention that the Church is part of a Russian network of influence. Report office ope.gr

The Church of Georgia deemed it necessary that it should break its silence. In an interview given to the newspaper Imedi Kviris, the head of the Public Relations Service of the Patriarchate, Protopresbyter Fr. Andreas Tzagmaitze, describes how relations have been established for years with the representatives of the European Union.

Fr. Andreas, called to comment on the report, emphasized that it is a clear proof of how anti-European feelings are created in Georgian society, pointing out that the resolution is an unfortunate event that grossly injustices the Church.

Pressures for same-sex marriage During the interview, the representative of the Georgian Church revealed unknown aspects of the past with representatives of the European Union, pointing out that the policy of targeting the Church is a result of the non-…

The Church of Georgia has finally spoken the truth out loud. It is especially interesting that they directly mentioned the pressure on same-sex marriage, which is something that many people in our country also whisper about, but are afraid to say out loud. It is good that Father Andriy did not keep silent.

Tsikavo, that Father Andriy directly called the pressure of one-piece whores. In our taxi, passengers sometimes start this topic, and if they sense that the Church is not suitable, they immediately leave. It’s good that the Georgians said it out loud, and don’t be afraid.

It's interesting that Father Andrzej speaks openly about this emphasis on same-sex weddings - in our choir they sometimes whisper about it, but no one wants to be the first to say it out loud. It is good that Georgians have finally broken their silence, because such unfair resolutions only alienate people from the entire Union.

Yes, sometimes in our store someone mentions these pressures, but then they fall silent and change the subject. It's good that Georgians said it loudly, because when you see such resolutions, you actually start to look at the EU differently. And in your choir, who whispers about it first, one of the soloists?

Father Andrey is great for speaking directly about the pressure on same-sex marriage. In our store in Yaroslavl, too, customers sometimes bring up this topic, and when they hear that according to the Gospel it is a sin, they immediately turn the conversation to the weather. The Georgians did the right thing by not remaining silent.

In our garden, over coffee with a neighbor, we also talk about it, but quietly, because people are afraid that someone will hear and report it. Georgians are right to finally speak out - these pressures on same-sex marriage are not a small thing. And in the choir, it's the grandmothers from the back row who start muttering under their breath, and the soloists remain silent.

In our choir, it's the older soprano ladies who start purring after the rehearsal, when everyone has left. I myself remember one of our deacons talking about similar conversations with Brussels last year - it always ended with "we have to adapt the law to the standards." And what specific pressures did you hear about in this store?
