Nephew of the Tatar khan Barjaj. He was present when the Bishop of Rostov, Saint Cyril, visited the capital of the Tatars, the Golden Clan, in the year 1253. He heard him tell about the miracles that took place at the shrine of Saint Leontius of Rostov. These words penetrated his heart deeply.
