“Heirs and continuers of the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War”: fighters of the Orthodox search detachment “Eaglet” summed up the results of participation in the Memory Watchtranslated

In the church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the Seven Keys of the city of Yekaterinburg, the results of the participation of the Orthodox search team “Eaglet” in the XXVIII Interregional Educational and Training Memory Watch in the territory of the Elninsky municipal district of the Smolensk region were summed up.
Created in 2012 at the Church of the Mother of God of Vladimir, the search team “Eaglet” broke a record: in its composition, 58 fighters went to the Memory Watch-2026, including from the Bishop’s Ascension Metochion in the city of Yekaterinburg, the church in the name of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine in the city of Pervouralsk, and even the city of Moscow.
The eaglets settled in “their” old place in the village of Volkovo-Egorye, where a camping bivouac had already been built two years ago.
— Before the trip, we were a little upset that we would have to stand in an old place that seemed to be well-trodden far and wide, but, as life showed, our fears were in vain. It was here that two years ago, soldiers of the “Eaglet” detachment discovered the remains of three Red Army soldiers with medallions and one restored name. The search was not without a successful search: right on the path at the entrance to our bivouac, the search engines “picked up” the remains of two fighters. And we, not far from this place, found “ours”...
