At the closing of the festival of sacred music in Suzdal, a choir from the Serbian sister city performed their best workstranslated

On September 19-20, 2026, the III Festival of Sacred Music “Voices of Suzdal” ended in the city of Suzdal, at which the Male Choir of the Karlovac Theological Seminary from the Serbian sister city of Suzdal Sremski-Karlovci performed.

The festival took place over 3.5 months in churches in Vladimir, Suzdal and the Suzdal region, and 11 groups from Russia and Serbia took part in it, the organizers told Foma magazine.

– Today a truly historical event took place in Suzdal; in the ancient Transfiguration Cathedral of the Spaso-Efimiev Monastery, the world-famous choir of the Karlovac Seminary performed for the first time. I am sincerely glad that I was able to attend the opening, closing, and several intermediate concerts of the festival. I hope this tradition will continue on our Suzdal land,” said the head of the Suzdal administration, Roman Kavinov, at the closing of the festival.

At the closing of the festival, the choir from Sremski Karlovtsi performed their best works in the Transfiguration Cathedral, as well as several works together with the Suzdal choir of the Spaso-Evthymius Monastery.
