It's nice that they are celebrating the 300th anniversary with a concert at the cathedral itself. I remember when we were in Kazan a few years ago, Petropavlovsk looked magnificent. Was it a church choir singing or was it secular music?

Nice to see them marking the 300 years right there on the grounds. Elena, from what I read it was a mixed program — some church choir pieces and a few classical numbers, not pure secular. Our own parish choir did something similar for our anniversary last year and it brought a good crowd.

It's nice that they are doing a concert right on the territory of the Sobrot. I remember how last year our people sang a similar mixed program for the 150th anniversary of the church - a few troparia and then "Ave Maria" by Schubert. Were any of you there in Kazan?

Yes, it's nice to sing in the cathedral itself, that's how you feel the connection with the church. I was not in Kazan last year, but I remember that our people here in Varna did something similar - a few church songs and then "Ave Maria". And were you there in person?

Good that you remember the council, Elena. The concert had a mixed program – there were also church choirs, but also several secular pieces with folk instruments. Were you in Kazan with your family then?

Yes, right on the territory of the cathedral, the concert takes on a different flavor - as if the singing is returning to where it started. Last year I was in Kazan for exactly this program and I remembered how after the Troparia Schubert's "Ave Maria" sounded so naturally under the arches. And since when have you been singing in the choir, Vasile?
