The National Village Museum Organizes a Creative Camp for Childrentranslated
The National Village Museum is organizing the Creative Camp “Summer on the Street” from July 6 to 31.
Now in its 34th edition, the camp will present children with a diverse range of 18 creative workshops. The program seeks to foster in young participants a deep appreciation for tradition and culture, while preserving and promoting traditional crafts.
“We combine the useful with the enjoyable, and we hope participants will become more responsible and demonstrate greater care for our national cultural heritage,” stated representatives of the National Village Museum.
New Workshops Alongside folk artisans from across the country and visual artists, children will engage in activities such as pottery, doll-making, folk decorations, traditional masks, glass icon painting, wooden icons, egg decorating, folk dances, and clay modeling.
This year’s edition introduces new recreational workshops alongside those held annually for over three decades. Among them are woodwork, Romanian folk singing, theater, aromatic plants, flowers, medicinal herbs, blacksmithing, and engraving.
Workshop registration may be completed online by filling out the required forms.
